Ubuntu developers at Canonical have just released a second support release for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS for Desktop and Server products. The release added support to boot Ubuntu 12.04.2 on systems using UEFI firmware with secured boot enabled.
This update comes with the updated Linux kernel which includes a workaround for the UEFI boot panic on Samsung Series 9 laptops. This updated release will hopefully put that to rest.

Blender foundation and its developers have just released a new version ( 2.64 ) which brings many improvements and patches from the past version.
This release improved on motion tracking using planer tracker, full VFS pipeline, and an easier green screen keying. A new tile based composing system was also added.
