This brief tutorial is going to show you how to install VLC in Ubuntu 12.10 via PPA. It should be quick and easy.
- Install the Latest version of VLC in Ubuntu 12.10
To get started, press Ctrl – Alt – T on your keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the commands below to add its PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily
Next, run the commands below to update your system.sudo apt-get update
Finally, run the commands below to install VLC and its components.sudo apt-get install vlc vlc-plugin-pulse mozilla-plugin-vlc
