Step 1: Access Applets
Click on the Linux mint menu, search “Applets” dialog, and launch it:

Redirect to the “Download” tab, search “Dark Mode” and hit the dropdown icon:
Move to the “Manage” tab, and select installed “Dark Mode”. Then, press the “+” icon and add into Linux Mint panel:

How to Enable Dark Mode Through “Themes” App on Linux Mint?
The “Themes” app is also used to enable “Dark Mode”. These changes are applicable to the whole system. To do so, follow the given steps.
Step 1: Launch “Themes”

How to Enable Dark Mode for Desktop on Linux Mint?
If you just want to enable dark mode for the desktop on Linux Mint, then the access “Themes” app:
Go to its advanced settings:
Next, switch to the “Themes” window and hit the “Desktop” option available at the end:
Choose your preferred dark theme from the available list. In our case, we have selected the “Mint-Y-Dark-Sand” theme:

How to Disable Dark Mode on Linux Mint?
If you enabled the dark mode from the “Dark Mode” application that was downloaded from “Applets” then you can directly disable this mode by clicking on its icon at the taskbar and turn off the toggle:
Alternatively, to disable dark mode, open the “Dark Mode” application from the taskbar and switch to the “General” tab. Then, turn off the “Dark Mode” toggle button:

Note: If you have applied the dark theme to change your system appearance from the “Themes” applications, then you can disable it by switching from the dark theme to the light theme.
