Keeping your Windows 8 machine as secure as possible is important. There are many ways make this happen. You can choose to create a strong password that contains alpha-numeric characters, upper case and special characters. You can also increase your security by regularly updating your system with the latest security patches and updates from Microsoft Online.

Using secure logon also provide additional layer of security for your systems and this brief tutorial is gong to show you how to do that in Windows 8.

When this feature is enabled, it makes is much more difficult for programs such as (virus / spyware) to intercept or mimic your username and password to login.

To get started, press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box. When it opens, type the commands below as shown in the image and press Enter.

Finally, select the ‘Advanced’ tab and check the box that says ‘Require users to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete’

Restart your computer and to sign in, you must always press Ctrl – Alt – Delete.
