Here’s a quick update for Opera users; version 12.01 has just been released. This quick tutorial is going to show you how to quickly install / upgrade to the newest version in Ubuntu 12.04 if you haven’t already done so.

To get started, press Ctrl – Alt – T on your keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the commands below to add Opera repository key.

wget -O- http://deb.opera.com/archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
Next, copy and paste the line below in terminal and press enter to add Opera repository.
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://deb.opera.com/opera/ stable non-free" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
Finally, run the commands below to install Opera.
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install opera
