Here’s a quick new update for Ubuntu users; Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS has been released. This is a maintenance release which has all bug fixes since Ubuntu 12.04. It improves on the distribution stability, security and compatibility surrounding crashes and performance.
If you have been updating your systems regularly, then you may have already received the update. If not, then go and update your system as you normally would.

To verify if you have updated, run the command below.
Run this command to verify if you have updated to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.
cat /etc/issue
And it should return the result as shown below.
