After installing or upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04, the launcher is by default, docked on the left of your screen with the normal size for icons. Well, you don’t have to settle for the normal size. You can resize by increasing or decreasing it if you wish, and this brief tutorial is going to show you how to do it in Ubuntu 12.04.

Now, remember that this method will only work if you have Unity 3D installed. Having Ubuntu 2D and doing this won’t work. So, without wasting anymore of your time, lets get going.

Objective:

  • Resize Ubuntu Launcher in Ubuntu 12.04
  • Enjoy!

To get started, go to ‘Control Gear –> System Settings’

Then select ‘Appearance’ group

Next, look at the bottom of the screen and begin moving the slider left or right to adjust the launcher’s size. Now, you will only see this if you’re running Unity 3D. If you can’t see the option for launcher size icon, then you’re probably running Unity 2D.

Enjoy!
