This tutorial will re-introduce you to Cairo-Duck, also know as Glx-Dock, an animated application launch bar for Linux systems, including Ubuntu Lucid. In our last post, we showed you how to install and configure Cairo-Dock in Lucid. But since our last post, many new features and bug fixes have been added. Today we’re going to explore Glx-Dock’s new features.
This short tutorial will show you how to quickly disable or stop screensavers from activating in Ubuntu Lucid and Maverick. If you don’t like the constant lockout password prompts or want to watch movies, then disabling the screensaver and power-saving-mode is your best bet.

If you like the application launcher in Mac PCs called Dock and want to same for your Fedora Desktop, then this tutorial will show you how to customize Fedora to look a bit like Mac Desktop. To make Linux PCs to look a bit like Mac, you’ll need a package called Cairo-Dock.
