I am fortunate enough to have three email accounts that are hosted on Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail and checking all three accounts daily isn’t difficult, but I needed an easy way to do it. So I setup POP3 / IMAP in Thunderbird to receive all my emails in one place.
