It’s been a while since we last explored Comodo Firewall and since then, it has gone through a major upgrade and many added features that will blow your mind away. One key enhancement to Comodo Firewall is a built-in sandbox which allows file system/registry to run in a virtualized environment in order to combat harmful malware.

Windows Firewall is a security feature that is enabled by default in Windows and it sits at the door of your computer allowing and denying programs as they enter your computer from another computer either on the Internet or locally.
It times, programs that you want allowed on your system are also blocked by Windows Firewall. For instance, some multiple-players game online will required that a specific port (door) be opened on your computer, and if Windows Firewall is not aware of that program, it will block it as well.

Even though we’d recommend that you don’t connect your Windows systems to the Internet without some basic firewall software installed for fear that your systems may be compromised, updating and installing recommended updates from Microsoft will do just enough to prevent some of the most popular viruses and spyware program from infecting your systems.
Our main goal is that you install trusted firewall application to protect your computer from harmful programs. If you just don’t want do that now, then updating your systems regularly will help.

There’s nothing more annoying than fake anti-virus software installed on your computer and claiming to be protecting you from the bad guys while stealing your personal data and planting more harmful programs to destroy your computer.
If your computer is little sluggish and you’re getting constant pop-ups about downloading advertised “anti-virus” software because the program claimed to have “scanned” your computer and found number of spyware and malware programs installed, is a sign that your computer has been infected with some of those fake anti-virus software and wanting to steal money.
