Normally, your browser stores information like search history, cookies, passwords and temporary files to help improve your browsing experience. Internet Explorer is designed like that. Your standard browser will also allows for toolbar and extensions to be installed which enhances your browser’s capabilities.

With InPrivate mode, Internet Explorer disables all these features and prevents storing your online data. This increases security in that no data will be collected, stored, or traced back to you. Things like your password, search history, and temporary Internet files are deleted when you close your browser.

This brief tutorial is going to show you how to start InPrivate mode with Internet Explorer. It also shows you how always start Internet Explorer InPrivate mode.

To start with InPrivate mode with Internet Explorer, right-click Internet Explorer from the lower taskbar and select ‘Start InPrivate Browsing’ as shown below. I am currently using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 10 installed.

Every time IE is launched, it will open InPrivate browsing mode. You may have to do the same for IE on your desktop. Remove the current one, then go back to IE and resend to the desktop.
