Here’s a quick update for LibreOffice users; version 3.6 has just been released. This brief tutorial is going to show you how to easily install it or upgrade your current version in Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin).

To get started, press Ctrl – Alt – T on your keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the commands below to add its PPA.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-prereleases

Finally, run the commands below to upgrade your system including LibreOffice.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
