Install Ubuntu Tweak with Desktop Recovery in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat

This quick tutorial will show you how to install Ubuntu Tweak! (version 0.5.6) with Desktop Recovery in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. Ubuntu Tweak! is an application that lets you easily configure hidden features in Ubuntu from a central application panel. If you’re new to Ubuntu, then this package should be the first to install.

 

Getting started:

 

To get started, go to Applications –> Ubuntu Software Center.

Then click Edit –> Software Sources.

Select ‘Other Software’ tab and click Add.

Then copy and paste the line into the box and click ‘Add Source’

Back into Software Center, select ‘Ubuntu Tweak Testing’ on the left, then select and install Ubuntu Configuration Tool’

After installing go to Applications –> System Tools –> Ubuntu Tweak.
