This brief tutorial will show you how to quickly install Skype in Ubuntu Lucid. If you’ve been using Skype in Windows and want to do the same in Ubuntu, then continue below to learn how to install it.

Getting started:

To get started, go to Applications –> Ubuntu Software Center.

Then type ‘SKYPE’ in the search box. Next select Skype from the list and click ‘More Info’.

Then click ‘Use This Source’

Next, click ‘Install’

After installing, close out and go to Applications –> Internet –> Skype.
