Disable Screensavers in Ubuntu 10.04/10.10 Maverick Meerkat

This short tutorial will show you how to quickly disable or stop screensavers from activating in Ubuntu Lucid and Maverick. If you don’t like the constant lockout password prompts or want to watch movies, then disabling the screensaver and power-saving-mode is your best bet.

 

Getting started:

 

To get started, go to System –> Preferences –> Screensaver.

Then uncheck the boxes highlighted below.

Next, select ‘Power Management’

Then select ”Never’ to put your computer to sleep for both AC Power and Battery Power.

Close out and you’re done.
