How To Move Ubuntu Menu Buttons Back To The Right

This quick tutorial will show you how to move the Close Minimize and Maximize buttons on the menu back to the original position in Maverick. This tutorial could also be applied to Lucid. If you’re not used to the menu buttons on the left, then I will show you how to move it back to the right.

Getting started:

To get started, press Alt-F2 on your keyboard then type the command below and click Run:

gconf-editor

menu_button_mav

Then expand:

apps --> metacity --> general

menu_button_mav_1

Select and right-click button_layout and click Edit. Then change the value to the one below:

menu:minimize,maximize,close

menu_button_mav_2

Click OK, then close out and notice the change.

menu_button_mav_3

Enjoy! And please come back soon.
