This brief tutorial will show you how to install Google Chrome (Chromium) in Ubuntu lucid or Maverick via PPA. Installing programs via Ubuntu PPA allows for automatic updates, upgrades and maintenance. If you’re currently using Google Chrome in Windows and want the same for your Ubuntu machine, then this tutorial should help you get there.
Getting started
To get started, go to Applications –> Ubuntu Software Center.
Then click Edit –> Software Sources..
Next, select ‘Other Software’ tab and click Add
Then copy and paste the line below in the box and click ‘Add Source’ , then close out and go back to Software Center.
ppa:chromium-daily/ppa
Back into Software Center, search for and install Chromium.
Chromium
After installing, go to Applications –> Internet –> Chromium Web Browser.
Enjoy!
Thanks for reading and please come back soon.

Thanks of u!
The instructions above may work, but are terrible. Much better instructions:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chromium-daily/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chromium-browser
Much better instructions can be found at:

There are many ways to install packages in Ubuntu via PPA. Your instruction and mine will do the same thing.
Thank you, I tried to install Chrome from Google web site a few weeks ago and this did not work. Your instructions worked perfected well for me.
