At times,  popular icons that used to be on your Windows Desktop go missing. This can happen either by accidental deletion or some unknown reasons.

If you’re missing icons on your desktop that used to be there, you can now restore those missing icons easily, and that’s what I’m going to show you in this blog.

Here is a Windows Vista Desktop missing almost all icons. The only icon that is there is Recycle Bin. See, we’re missing all our most popular icons like Computer, Network and others

To Restore missing icons, right-click on a blank area of the desktop, then select Personalize.

Next click Change desktop icons from the left menu.

Here is where you select which icon to display on the desktop.  Put a check in the box next below to display that icon. Once done, click Save.

And now you get your icons back.
