Avira AntiVir Rescue System is a Linux-based program that allows you to access computers that can’t boot up or having trouble booting up. If your computer is behaving erratically and not booting up fully, you can use Avira AntiVir to repair your system, rescue data and scan for viruses and malware programs.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use Avira AntiVir Rescue System to rescue your Windows system that will not boot up or is infected with a virus and the virus is not letting you to completely start up your system.
Avira Rescue System needs to be burned as an image, so you’ll have to download it and burn/copy it to a blank CD/DVD and then use that CD/DVD to boot your computer. To learn how to burn an image to a blank CD/DVD click here.

Booting up with Avira AntiVir Rescue System:
Double click the file to burn to a blank CD/DVD. If you have a problem and the program won’t burn to a blank CD/DVD, click Exit.
When prompted to save an ISO image, click Yes. This will re-package the image as an ISO. Then burn the ISO to a blank CD/DVD disc.
Pop in the CD/DVD in to your computer and boot from it. Choose option 1.
Select Configuration and choose to repair infected files.
Next click Start scanner.
Wait for the process to complete.
This should scan your computer and if necessary remove infected files and folders on your computer. After scanning, remove the CD/DVD from your computer drive and reboot.
