How To Change The Default Text Editor In FileZilla

This tutorial will show you how to change the default text editor in FileZilla from Notepad to something cooler.

As you may already know, Notepad is the default text editor in Windows which allows you to quickly edit text files and other programming language files.

When compared to other text editors like Notepad++, Notepad2 and Metapad, Notepad mostly come short in features and functionalities.

Although Notepad2 and Metapad are cool text editors, we’re going to be using Notepad++ for this tutorial.

1) To get started, open FileZilla and click Edit –> Settings.

2) Next, select File editing –> Filetype associations. Then add the file associations in the space ash shown below. Do this for every extension you want to associate with FileZilla.

3) The next time you open a PHP or Text file in FileZilla, it will automatically open Notepad++.

That’s all to this.

Thanks for coming again.
