WOT stands for Web of Trust, and it an add-on for web browsers that shows you ratings on millions of websites online so you can avoid potentially dangerous ones. When browsing online, WOT shows you links to a website as well as its ratings. If you accidentally click a link and the site is suspected to be harmful to your system, WOT will warn you of the danger and provide you an option to exit. WOT supports Firefox, Chrome and other browsers in used today, but this tutorial will focus on installing WOT in Firefox.
Getting started:
To get started, download and install WOT from here.
When prompted, click ‘Install Now’. You must restart your browser for the changes to apply.
Next, click ‘Accept’ to accept the license terms.
Then select the ‘Basic’ settings and click ‘Next’ . You could choose other settings suitable for you but basic is just right.
Finally, click ‘Exit’ if you don’t want to register. If you do want to register, you must complete the form below and click ‘Finish’.

Whenever you go online, you’ll see color-coded round circles next to each link. Red means potentially dangerous, Yellow is a warning and Green means Verified.
