I am going to show you how to use Online-Armor Fire­wall, a free Fire­wall pro­gram designed to auto­mat­i­cally stop hack­ers, mali­cious pro­grams and pro­tect your iden­tity. It also sup­ports Win­dows XP, Win­dows Vista, and Win­dows 7.

 

To get started, down­load a free copy of Online-Armor from here and install.

 

1) Click Run when prompted.

2) Click Next and accept the License Agree­ment. Click Next when done.

3) Select the instal­la­tion des­ti­na­tion and click Next. Next, spec­ify the place to install the program’s shortcuts.

4) Enter your email address. It will not accept web email like Gmail or yahoo mail. Enter some­thing other than pop­u­lar web mails. Next click Install to begin the installation.

5) Choose to install the dri­ver any­way when you get the secu­rity warn­ings. Next click Finish.

6) At the Wiz­ard, select the first option if you think your com­puter is not com­pro­mise in its cur­rent state. If you’re not sure, select option two to Run the Wiz­ard and detect installed programs.

7) Wait for Online-Armor to fin­ish scan­ning then click Next to continue.

8) Click Next then select the options as shown below. Enable multi desk­top sup­port then click Next.

9) Click Next and then Fin­ish when done. This will restart your computer.

 

 

 

10) This is the con­trol panel of Online-Armor. Tweak it more as you wish.

11) Click Fire­wall and you should see some­thing like this. Every IP address and port are being check for sus­pi­cious activity.
